Just nine days until the election and it's an all-out fight over the Battleground states. As both sides work to tip the scales in their direction, Hurricane Sandy is barreling up the East Coast and is already having an impact on the race. Both President Obama and Mitt Romney cancelled campaign stops on the east coast as the storm could potentially impact 60 million Americans.
This morning, Republican Governor of all-important Ohio, John Kasich painted a positive picture of Mitt Romney's chances of winning the Buckeye State.
"I believe right now we are currently ahead; internals show us currently head. I honestly think that Romney's going to carry Ohio."
Kasich later added, "I'm not sure the election's going to be as close as what everybody is talking about today." This comes as a new Dayton Daily News/Ohio News Organization Poll shows the race tied up between the president and Mitt Romney at 49%.
When asked what issue will tip the scales in their election in their states, swing state Governors Hickenlooper (D-CO) and Walker (R-WI) agreed that it would be jobs. Hickenlooper pointed to the president's record of creating "5.2 million jobs," while Walker argued the election would be about the future.
"[President Obama] doesn't have a plan. Mitt Romney does," he said.
