Hollywood studios all seem to get the same idea at once. Both "Transformers 3" and the upcoming "Apollo 18" are based on the idea that something sinister is hanging out on the moon. Last year, both "Despicable Me" and "Megamind" were animated romps focusing on the problems of a supervillain.
And "Friends with Benefits" and "No Strings Attached" also seem to have the same plot -- both revolve around a couple who believe they can keep love out of their physical relationship, and are in for a few surprises.
How to tell them apart? "No Strings" has Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. "Friends" has Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. Or, as Gawker points out in the introduction to this hilarious mash-up video, "One stars an overexposed, overconfident pretty boy who fancies himself a high tech mogul, and so does the other one. One features an actress that starred as a prima ballerina in the movie 'Black Swan,' and so does the other one."
Kudos to the masher-upper who seamlessly edited them into one 90-second highlight reel.
