Stephen Colbert addressed the Mormon practice of posthumously baptizing Jewish survivors of the Holocaust. Our very own Lawrence O’Donnell made a cameo via his interview with Elie Wiesel, who has been calling on the Mormon Church to stop this ritual.
Just to "balance everything out," the Colbert Report host converted "all the dead Mormons to Judaism" on Thursday's show by performing a proxy circumcision. He has "Jay the Intern" hold up a hot dog as a symbol of the blessed event. After snipping off the top of the dog (I cringed) Colbert pronounced, "Mormon Tov! You're now dead Jews!"
