A man in England opened the door of a rarely-used room in his mother's home and discovered thousands of wasps had made a giant nest in the bed. The insects had chewed through the mattress and pillows to build the nest, which was three feet wide and a foot-and-a-half deep.
"In 45 years I have never seen anything like it," pest controller John Birkett said. "There must have been 5,000 wasps. It was a job to deal with it."
