The Pentagon has announced that three of the detainees at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility have been turned over to the government of Slovakia.

That leaves a total of 155 detainees still in custody at Gitmo. The three men are the last ethnic Uighur Chinese detained at the facility on Cuba.

"The United States is grateful to the government of Slovakia for this humanitarian gesture and its willingness to support U.S. efforts to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility," the Pentagon said in a statement.
