Recovery crews have found the body of one of three people presumed dead after torrential rains caused a series of landslides in a coastal Alaska town.
The person's name was not immediately released. Officials in the fishing town of Sitka said Wednesday that the body was spotted near the debris of a destroyed home in a subdivision, NBC affiliate KTUU reported.
Search dogs helped find the body, a spokesman for state emergency personnel said.

Six landslides hit Sitka on Tuesday after more than 2 inches of rain fell in 24 hours, forcing people to flee their homes and officials to declare an emergency.
The three reported missing are William Stortz, 61, and two brothers, Ulises and Elmer Diaz, 25 and 26, KTUU reported.
Stortz, a building official, was reportedly looking into the drainage system in the area, while the brothers were painting a home that was demolished in the slide.
The search was expected to resume Thursday morning.
