Cristian Garcia, a University of Florida linebacker thwarted an alleged rape of an unconscious woman behind a Gainesville, Florida bar, police said.
After finishing his shift working at the bar, the football player and his co-worker noticed what they say was a man allegedly sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman behind a dumpster.
“I approached the man and grabbed him by his shoulders and said ‘Hey get off of her, you can’t be doing this,’” Garcia told NBC 6’s Melissa Adan.
Police arrested the suspect, Christopher Shaw, on sexual battery charges.
