In the last years of his life, Lee had previously written and directed a few films, including the 1972 film “Way of the Dragon.” After the actor’s death in 1973, Lee’s daughter Shannon found a large collection of Lee’s notes about the concept of “Warrior,” according to Deadline. In 2013, Justin Lin’s production company, Perfect Storm Entertainment, partnered with Lee’s daughter to produce Lee’s material.

No casting choices have yet been announced for the pilot.
