The morning had started out promising: blue skies and warm weather in the small city of Delphi, Indiana. 

Better yet, classes were canceled to make up for an unused snow day.

It’s the kind of day any kid looks forward to.

For best friends 14-year-old Libby German and 13-year-old Abby Williams, it would be a day of adventure.

The girls would take a walk through the woods on the outskirts of town.

They planned to stay for an hour, then call for a ride home.

They wanted to cross that old abandoned railroad bridge and take some photos.

The bridge was dilapidated.

A dangerous place to walk.

But they decided to go for it.

And sure enough, Libby was able to take a snap of Abby on the bridge.

She was also able to take a video.
