Challenge: Perform linear regression - Microsoft Excel Tutorial

- [Instructor] In this chapter, I have demonstrated how to perform linear regression. In this movie, I would like to challenge you to perform linear regression on a new data set. To demonstrate, I'm using the chapter eight challenge workbook you can find in the chapter eight folder of the exercise files collection. Your goal is to perform linear regression on the sales data, which is your dependent variable, as related to the number of customers, which is the independent variable. So the independent variable customers is your X data or X input, and sales is the dependent variable or Y input. If you haven't already, please install the analysis tool pack add-in, and then use the built-in regression tool to analyze this data. In the next movie, I will show you how I would go about that and discuss the results that I get from the analysis. Good luck.
