- [Instructor] In Excel, when you work with formulas, sometimes you realize that you no longer need the formulas in a certain column or row or in a range of cells; you simply want to convert those formulas into their results. On this worksheet, we've got data in column F: these represent the compensation, the salary numbers, and the company is flirting with an increase of 3.4%. So as I hold down the Control key and zoom in here with the mouse wheel, we've got formulas here in column G. And maybe the chief financial officer has decided that these new compensation amounts that we've calculated here are the ones we actually are going to be using. So we want to get this data into column F; essentially, we want to throw away the formulas and move the data into column F. You can say it in different ways, but general idea is we don't need the formulas, we simply want the results. We possibly would even want to keep these here…
