- [Instructor] Excel has a variety of tools on an ever-growing set of functions that allow you to clean up data. We've got some data on this worksheet in column A, first name, last name, uppercase. There are a number of different things we might want to do with this. If we simply want to split the names into two columns, we could be using a feature on the data tab called, Text to Columns. That can be a bit unwieldy at times. We could be using some formulas, some other functions in cell E2. I'm going to be double clicking. You see how we might want the name looking like that? But look at that formula. It's a bit unwieldy, it does work. And if you're interested, you might want to pursue that, but a much faster way much of the time, not perfect, but let's say 98% perfect, something like that is a feature called Flash Fill.
