- [Instructor] Welcome to another tip and trick for AutoCAD. In this particular tips and tricks video, we're going to be taking a look at how we develop center lines and center marks in your DWG files. Now the reason you would do that is to make sure that you've got sensible points to place your dimension annotation, and we'll jump into that little bit in a minute. Now we've got a drawing for you. It's called 411Centerlines.dwg. Download it from the library to follow along with this particular tips and tricks video. When you open up the file, you should be in the model tab and you should see a circle here. There's a circle there, it's on the objects layer, and you should see four lines making up a rectangle again on the objects layer. Now imagine that this is a simple engineering drawing of a cylinder. So the circle is the end view of the cylinder and the four lines are the side view of the cylinder. Now what we want to do is add some center lines and center marks to these particular…
