Totally agree! Soft skills are a true talent and becoming even more important as tech keeps growing. QA tools these days are amazing at picking up tone, inflection and red flags which can be super helpful if they’re set up the right way. But I’ve also seen it make life harder for frontline agents when the design isn’t really thought through. It’s all about being intentional. When it’s done right, it’s a game changer. When it’s not, it just adds more stress to an already tough job.

There are indeed reasoning AI models, but at this time, I'm not aware of any serious company that uses them without a human oversight. In summary, AI will not take your job from you, but there is a risk you will lose your job to someone using AI.

AI is unlikely to provide real human empathy. Conversely, it may be even rude, as it looks to 'optimise' the output and potentially even 'cut corners' AI will play a role in improving efficiency when in comes to dull activities, like searching for data, re-keying date or doing basic arithmetic calculations.
