ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – On Tuesday, a new search warrant was filed in the Connor Bowman case that shed light on Connor’s dating activity around the death of his wife, Betty Bowman.

Bowman is charged with the murder of his wife, who died from colchicine poisoning. The search warrant filed is requesting information from the dating app company, Bumble Trading LLC, that includes the texting history between Connor and many other users that he met on the dating app.

Conversations with the witnesses that met Connor through Bumble provided investigators with insight into his plans to murder his wife, according to court documents. The search warrant, however, provides many new details into not only his conversations with others who met him through Bumble, but his online browsing history as well.

Online Pharmaceutical Purchases

Investigators, who obtained a warrant for Connor’s US Bank account, found he made two purchases from a company called TRUEPILL, an online pharmacy provider. The warrant stated that TRUEPILL only assisted in online pharmacy sales and confirmed that the purchases Connor made were through a company called “Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drugs.”

Staff confirmed that Connor had purchased sildenafil citrate (an erectile dysfunction drug) and colchicine through the second company.

TRUEPILL also provided administrative notes on his account that indicated Connor requested the deletion of his account and purchase history after making the purchases.

Connor’s Search History

According to the search warrant, investigators discovered that Bowman did a number of internet searches, including “is widow gender neutral” two days before Betty died on August 20, 2023.

Another search he made included the keywords “delete Amazon data police.”

His search history also included searches for a substance called “oil of wintergreen” which detailed the toxicity of the substance and the dangers of overdosing on it.

Online Dating History

The warrant highlights several of Bowman’s interactions with women on Bumble around the time of her death.

One user noted that his profile indicated he was a “widower” on September 5th. She told investigators that Bowman told her one possible explanation for Betty’s death was listeria poisoning. After going on a date with him and asking Connor if he felt it was okay to flirt with others so soon, she claimed he stated, “it was a fair question, but he was ok being with a new person, that he knew what he wanted in life, and that Betty would have wanted him to move on to be happy.”

A different user matched with Bowman at the end of August and thought it was strange he brought up the large life insurance pay-out he had received and used to pay off his student loan debt.

The document also states Bowman told a different Bumble user that Betty had died from a morphine overdose about a year prior.
