BBC iPlayer Desktop - Why am I unable to install new content and why have I lost downloaded content since installing the latest version of Adobe Air?

***Updated 09 November 2012***

We have replicated the fault and are currently in discussion with our service partner in finding a resolution, which occurs if the latest version of Adobe Air (3.5) is installed.

If you have Adobe Air 3.5 Installed you may not be able to download new programmes, including series catch-up downloads and any programmes already downloaded may have disappeared.

Downloads for Windows Media Player, Portable Devices and iOS devices (iPad, iPhone and iPod touch) download services are unaffected so if possible use an alternative download option or use the streaming service as an interim measure.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and will update this FAQ when further information becomes available.
