Student Communications (StuCom) informs and engages the Columbia College Chicago community through its dynamic digital publications, In the Loop and The Haps. As the primary source for student-driven print and video content, StuCom taps into the diverse talents of Columbia students to produce compelling and informative media.

Created for students, by students, StuCom is powered by a dedicated team of student employees, functioning as a collaborative communications hub where students take the lead in developing, producing, editing, and distributing content across a wide range of platforms. This hands-on experience allows them to build portfolio pieces that support their professional growth and development.

Both In the Loop and The Haps highlight, promote, and connect Columbia’s vibrant student body to events on campus. Unique to Columbia College Chicago, these publications are a true showcase of student creativity.
