Genre-mashing R&B songstress Janelle Monáe's BNM'd new record, The Archandroid, is jam-packed with crazy sounds but the initial single, "Tightrope", is still an immediate standout. Apparently, Janelle agrees, as she's put together a sparer, hip-hop leaning remix of the tune featuring Lupe Fiasco and B.o.B.
While the original had its hip-hop elements (including, most notably, a guest verse from Big Boi), this "Wondamix" posted to Monae's blog is notably grittier, with sparse percussion and a dirty-sounding guitar line. Lupe sounds like an alien making a collect call, B.O.B. actually raps (something he hasn't been doing too much of lately), and Monae steals the show with a verse of her own.
