Bayern Munich are planning to offer Leroy Sane a new contract, with the former Manchester City winger now in the final few weeks of his current deal.
The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and with a new deal yet to be struck there has been speculation over his future beyond this campaign.
There will be no shortage of interested parties in the Germany international, with Arsenallinked with a move to sign him on a free transfer.
Such is the competition for places at Bayern that Sane has not often been a guaranteed starter since joining in 2020 and this season he has made just 14 starts in the Bundesliga.
The forward does play regularly, but has had to make do with a lot of substitute appearances, appearing 11 times in the Champions League this campaign, but just four times in the starting XI.

Despite this, Sane is reportedly keen to stay with Bayern Munich and the club are prepared to offer him a new contract.
Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg reports that the club’s hierarchy have been impressed by his recent performances and are planning to offer him a new three-year contract running till 2028.

This new deal will be on reduced terms, but the forward is ready to accept them, despite Arsenal remaining interested and talks continuing as recently as the last few days.
Bayern are in a very strong position to win the Bundesliga, sitting six points clear at the top of the table from Bayer Leverkusen.
They also remain in the Champions League, playing the first leg of their quarter-final with Inter Milan in Bavaria on Tuesday night.
Sane has won three Bundesliga titles with the German giants, but has not landed the biggest prize in European football yet in his career.

Sane scored twice in a 3-2 win over St Pauli late in March and spoke out on his future with the club.
