West Yorkshire Police were called at 2:47pm today following sightings of a man armed with weapons, including guns, rifles, a crossbow, and a bat. The incident is believed to be linked to threats made on social media targeting the Otley Run, a popular pub crawl route frequented by students, starting at Bata Bar. Police quickly arrived at the scene and found three people with injuries, which are currently not considered life-threatening. A male suspect was detained, and officers are now working to understand the full circumstances of the attack. Armed police, ambulances, and extensive cordons are in place across Otley Road and a nearby campus to ensure public safety. The investigation is in its early stages, with multiple police scenes still active. West Yorkshire Police have stated that keeping the public safe is their top priority, and further updates are expected as more details emerge.
