If nothing else, you SHOULD read the <ahref="https://martinfowler.com/articles/oss-lockin.html#ShadesOfLock-in">shades of lock-in</a> part, and combine it with <ahref="/2015/01/lock-in-is-inevitable-get-used-to-it/">my thoughts on lock-in in data center networking</a>.</p>
