  • How to properly cup and evaluate sample roasts
  • Workspace management, production efficiency, and operations

Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) certification classes consist of lectures, hands-on skill training, exam review, and some applicable exams.

MORE INFORMATION

All written exams for the SCA are hosted online and distributed via email. SCA exam and certification fees are included in the cost for tickets, and are optional for students who take class recreationally.

If you wish to participate in exams, your SCA ID is required on the first day of class. Please arrive with your SCA ID prepared to share with your instructor. If you are not registered for an SCA ID, please review the instructions to register.

  • Invitation links to your written exam will be sent out within 7 days of the last day of your class.
  • Students have 7 days from the date invitations are sent to accept the exam link. Students who fail to accept the exam link within 7 days will automatically be removed from the exam and will be no longer eligible for certification.

While we want each student to succeed in receiving their certification, your classmates are not able to access their exams until every participating student accepts their invitation. Please be mindful of your classmates and accept your SCA exam invite in a timely manner.
