Over the last month we've released a number of refinements to options in both the
Object Editor and the
Foundation Editor. To help highlight some of this work we'll be posting a series of updates, beginning with a spotlight on
User Submitted Events enhancements.
Event Upsells - Modify run or manually create
If your automated event upsells are in place, you may have heard from some users requesting changes or additions to their upsell-promotional run that they didn't take advantage of during submission.
We've made some enhancements to give you that ability to manually fulfill those kinds of requests.
Some examples include:- Extend a currently running upsell - Change the start date or expiration date on any existing upsell for an event to however long you've arranged with its submitter to extend it.
- Create and Schedule a brand new upsell - If you receive a sponsored event offline or if you simply want to boost an existing event that didn't initially purchase an upsell, you can now create that scheduled run for any of your promotional placements using the "Upsell" class directly.
- Expire an upsell - If you need to end an event's upsold placement, you can now change the expiration date and it will expire on that date. You can even put in a past date to have it expire immediately.
Please view the Upsell class in the Object Editor to see the now accessible field options.
If you have any questions on how this works, please contact
support@desert.net.
Don't have event upsells yet? Please let us know and we can get you setup! Details can be found hereAgreement Checkboxes
You can now add customized disclaimers or other type of agreements for users to check when submitting new events.
This new feature supports multiple disclaimers should you need the user to check a few boxes before submitting the event.
The new agreement checkboxes are required by default, but they can be optional as well as sometimes that need can surface.
Please contact
support@desert.net if you would like to add any agreement checkboxes and we'll make this happen.
Calendar Date now Manually Editable
It was brought to our attention that users could not manually enter a date into the calendar date field and were required to use the pop up calendar.
We have adjusted this so that dates can now be manually entered and the calendar can still be used as well. This includes being able to edit a date you selected from the calendar.
Filtering
We've enabled some additional filters to aid with preventing spam and scam posts to user submitted content.
If you are experiencing an issue with posts of these types, please write support@desert.net and we can set up a filter and show you how to create more.
