Dr. Gabriel Zaragoza Welcome Message!

Dr. Gabriel Zaragoza Welcome Message!
Updated

Dear Families and Community Members of Berkmar High School,

It is with great excitement that I write to you as the new principal of Berkmar High School. I am truly honored to continue working in our community, which is rich in culture, pride, and dedication to the success of our students. My experience as principal of Hopkins Elementary has helped me build strong family and community partnerships in our Berkmar Cluster. I recognize the legacy of the previous principal, who served this school with passion and commitment for many years, and I am eager to build upon that foundation as we embark on this next chapter together.

As we move forward, my primary focus will be on providing the best possible educational experience for every student in our school. I believe that all students have the potential to excel when they are engaged, supported, and challenged. That’s why one of my key priorities will be ensuring daily classroom instruction meets our students' diverse needs.

At Berkmar High School, we are committed to creating a classroom environment where every student graduates with a goal of Enrollment, Enlistment, Employment, or Entrepreneurship. We will focus on high-quality instruction that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and growth in every subject area. By strengthening our instructional practices, we will ensure all students are equipped with the skills they need to thrive in high school and beyond.

I also want to emphasize the importance of engagement — not only in the classroom but within our community. Our students, families, and staff are the heart of this school, and it is vital that we work together in partnership. I encourage all parents, guardians, and community members to remain involved in our efforts to create an environment where each student feels valued, heard, and supported.

As principal of Berkmar High, I am committed to transparency, open communication, and collaboration. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, ideas, or concerns. Together, we can continue to create a school environment where every student feels empowered to achieve their personal and academic goals.

Thank you for the warm welcome I have already received. I look forward to working with each of you to make this year a great one for our students. Please feel free to communicate with me via e-mail at gabriel.zaragoza@gcpsk12.org of by phone at (770) 806 - 3700.

Sincerely,

Dr. Gabriel Zaragoza

Principal
