Fort Daniel Elementary will reduce variability and increase the fidelity of High-Quality Tier 1 instruction implementation for all students, including targeted small groups, grade-level curriculum, ongoing formative assessments, and progress monitoring to support ALL students. 

1. Fort Daniel Elementary teachers will participate at least twice a week in grade-level collaborative learning team (CLT) sessions, where teachers, coaches, and administrators will review instructional calendars, curriculum standards, achievement level descriptors, and assessment data to develop appropriate instructional lesson plans for next steps that directly align with the AKS standards.
2. Each and every student will be formatively assessed on a consistent basis to identify their individual needs. Students will consistently have opportunities for enrichment and remediation based on progress monitoring data
3. Student learning will be individualized. Students will consistently have opportunities for small group instruction.
4. Teachers will have high expectations and provide quality and engaging daily instruction to each and every student. Teachers will follow a clear and concise instructional framework.
5. Instructional strategies to best meet the needs of multilingual students will be a strategic focus during staff development sessions. Multilingual students will be served in pull-out and push-in model.
6. Daily monitoring of instruction will occur, and ongoing feedback will be provided to teachers to ensure the needs of all students are met.
7. Utilize peer observations, classroom walkthroughs and feedback (informal and formal) to enhance and monitor Tier 1 instruction.
8. Grading practices will be reviewed and revised to ensure alignment with GCPS policies, consistency across grade levels, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
9. Fort Daniel Elementary will continue to implement the MTSS process and use the MTSS Air Rubric to guide us as we work to support each and every student.

There will be an increase in the percentage of students who perform in the Proficient and Distinguished levels on the ELA and Math sections of the GMAS. There will also be a decrease in the percentage of students identified as needing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support on the iReady Screener. Specific data can be found on the LSPI data sheet. 

Fort Daniel Elementary will work to increase academic and social emotional opportunities for students.  Each and every student will be engaged in high quality, rigorous and culturally relevant curriculum and enrichment activities.

1. Analyze and disaggregate data to determine next steps for students and teachers
2. Continue with a dedicated  45 minute intervention block built into each student’s day for enrichment and intervention opportunities (Hawk Time)
3. Continue to enhance early learning opportunities for children ages birth to 5 years old with Play 2 Learn and school age early learners through Joyful Learning.
4. Utilize all available options for qualifying students for gifted services including:  Universal Screeners, CogAT, Creativity Test, as well as a portfolio option when needed.
5. Offer a variety of gifted services including:  Advanced Content, Language Arts focused Thinking Skills, and the Cluster Model.
6. PBL/STEM projects in every grade level.
7. Offer high quality, culturally relevant Tier 1 instruction to all students.
8. Offer a variety of enrichment clubs:  Robotics, Gardening, Art, Student Council, Chorus, P.E. Club, Running Club, Readers Rally, Safety Patrol and Good News Club.

Fort Daniel Elementary will strive to be the first choice for students, families and staff.

1. Fort Daniel Elementary will honor our 30^th Year Anniversary and implement our theme “30 Years of Impact” in collaboration with students, parents and staff.

2. Special events will be held throughout the year to provide students opportunities to engage in fun team building activities with their peers and staff.

3. PBIS will continue to be fully implemented school-wide. Students will earn points for meeting school-wide expectations. Synergy will be utilized to track implementation.

4. The School Counselor will provide small group sessions to support students' social and emotional needs.

5. The School Counselor and PBIS Lead will participate in district training and provide professional learning opportunities for staff.

6. Staff will participate in fun and engaging teambuilding events/activities throughout the schoolyear.

7. The principal will meet with Student Council throughout the year to gather student input regarding school initiatives.

8. Utilize Local School Council as a means to increase community input and involvement along with an understanding of the Blueprint For The Future.

9. Continue to promote participation in the EES family survey through PTA, Local School Council, QR codes for car riders and ParentSquare.
