Benefield Elementary School desires for each and every student and their families to feel a sense of belonging. Benefield Elementary School is committed to ensuring that all students and staff maintain a work/school life balance.
Staff
Teachers will continue to receive training and support to implement restorative practices to meet the social emotional needs of students.
Student
Students will continue to participate in SEL lessons that focus on equipping them with the skills, abilities, tools, and knowledge to build positive relationships, solve problems, make intelligent decisions, and achieve the necessary level of self-awareness.
Staff members will be paired with recommended students to use their experiences and knowledge and help students see the benefits of their educational experience through the Caring Adult at Benefield (CAB) program
Counseling support will be increased to allow for more individualized counseling as well as additional small group counseling.
Consultants will be hired to support students and their families with social emotional learning (SEL).
The percent of staff responding positively to the following student wellbeing EES Survey items will increase by 3-5 %.

Benefield Elementary School will continue to build on our comprehensive framework to fully operationalize a multi-tiered system of support to address academic and non-academic student needs and remove barriers to success.
Dedicated Titan Time to meet the needs of each and every learner.
The counseling team will work with individual students and parents to develop a check-in system to support school attendance of students with absences greater than 10.
Increase effectiveness of data talks with individual and small groups of teachers to ensure students are making progress by holding Quarterly Data Discussions and timely unit assessment discussions that focus on determining instructional strategies that help student groups master the AKS.
Provide on-going professional learning and coaching to support the MTSS Framework at Benefield to meet the needs of each and every learner/subgroup at Benefield, including professional learning on understanding and using I-Ready reports.
Instructional Support Team (IST) will provide differentiated support to students and content teachers to close language gaps for multi-language learners.
Student Attendance- Decrease the percentage of students with 10 more absences to 15% or less.

Benefield Elementary School will implement a Results-Based Evaluation (RBES) focusing on academic press and a supportive community to increase student achievement, overall well-being, and success.
Allow the space and place for professional learning communities (PLCs) to meet (3) times each week for 40 minutes to ensure effectiveness and alignment in planning.
Offer additional support (district & local) for new teachers – 2nd year teachers to Benefield ES.
H.O.S.T (Honor Others through Supportive Teaching) cycles, learning walks and feedback to enhance and monitor Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction as shown in the link attached.
Increase effectiveness of data talks to ensure students are making progress towards end-of-year benchmarks.
