As your Parent Instructional Coordinator, my goal is to provide a positive atmosphere where parents are empowered to motivate their children in our ever-changing world of learning. It is my belief that, when given the necessary tools and equipment, all children can learn and be successful! I am here to support you - your child's first teacher, through the resources we have in the Family Engagement Center and getting you involved in school activities and programs.
Parent engagement is not one size fits all. Meaningful parent engagement allows parents to use their time and talents to support their child’s academic achievement through various opportunities.
There are many different ways parents can be involved in their child’s education at Anderson-Livsey Elementary. Volunteering is a major way.
Volunteer opportunities include:
PTA membership Room Parent Beautification Special Projects (canned food drive, etc) Classroom volunteer Book Fair volunteer Holiday Shop volunteer Garden maintenance Media Center volunteer Car rider monitor Cafeteria monitor Bus lane monitor Friday folder stuffer Classroom Guest reader (read to a class)
