Group Plans Protests to Coincide with O'Malley Announcement
Baltimore BLOC will hold memorial service to remember victims of police brutality.

Community activist group Baltimore BLOC, which promotes neighborhood unity, is planning what it calls an “unwelcoming” for Martin O’Malley.
The former Maryland governor and Baltimore mayor will be making a special announcement on Federal Hill on Saturday, May 30.
Anticipating O’Malley will go public with his desire to run for President, Baltimore BLOC is assembling two of its own May 30 events to respond.

Here is the announcement from Baltimore BLOC:
Please join us no later than 10 a.m. at Federal Hill Park, where Martin O’Malley will be announcing his presidential candidacy. As Mayor of Baltimore, O’Malley oversaw a “zero-tolerance” policing initiative that locked up tens of thousands of black men and women...O’Malley was bad for Baltimore and bad for the country. WE MUST #SHUTITDOWN

From Federal Hill, we will march at noon to the War Memorial Building, where we will hold a #SayTheirNames Memorial Service for all our sisters and brothers who have lost their lives to Baltimore Police terror in the last ten years. We hope that you will march, demonstrate and mourn with us.
