The Devron system was a binarystar system in the Beta Quadrant. Starbase 23 was the closest outpost to this system in 2370. Before the abolishment of the Romulan Neutral Zone in 2387, this system was located in this border region.

History[]

In an alternate timeline, an anti-time eruption was created in the Devron system by the convergence of three inverse tachyon pulses in three different time periods. The discovery of this spatial anomaly created great concern in the Romulan Empire, which dispatched at least thirty Warbirds to investigate in 2370. Starfleet sent a number of ships, including the USS Enterprise-D, in response to the Romulan deployment. The timeline in which these events took place was later negated when CaptainPicard was able to prevent the formation of the eruption from occurring. (TNG: "All Good Things...")

Stellar cartography[]

In 2259, this system's location was labeled on a stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready roomviewscreen. The system's symbol had a greencolor, indicating that it was affiliated with the Romulan Star Empire. (SNW: "Spock Amok")

The system's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet AdmiralKirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401. Devron was in or near to space claimed by the Romulan Free State. (PIC: "Maps and Legends", "The Next Generation", "Disengage")

In 2401, this system's position was labeled on a star chart used by CaptainWilliam T. Riker during his attempt at finding the last known location of the SS Eleos XII. (PIC: "The Next Generation")

In 3190, the location of Devron was labeled on a star chart used by CommanderPaul Stamets for tracking the movement of the Dark Matter Anomaly through the galaxy. (DIS: "The Examples")

According to the script's pronunciation guide, Devron was pronounced as "DEV-ron". [1]
Further information on this system could be had from the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 66) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). The Devron system was located in the Devron sector. The stars of this system were classified as a K-class star and G-class star.
